Course Title: Occupational Health Risk Management


2. Duration: 3 days
3. Learning Objectives:
o Design research studies to assess hazards and risks in the workplace.
o Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including hazard
identification, dose-response evaluation, exposure assessment, and risk
characterization.
o Develop plans to manage occupational health and safety risks in the
workplace.
o Apply fundamental principles of communication and message development to
design community outreach programs.
o Demonstrate leadership skills related to occupational health and safety
services.
4. Method of Instruction:
o The course is delivered through a combination of in-class sessions
and blended learning (online study).
5. Field Work:
o Participants spend seven weeks in field work to gain practical experience.
o Field projects include:
 Applying risk assessment methods for different environmental exposures.
 Clear communication of risk assessment evaluations to the public.
 Conducting interventions for environmental health issues.
 Analyzing and critiquing research outlets.
