Dear Novaneer families,

Welcome back to school!

To all our 8-4-4, CBC and our very first cohort of Cambridge bridging families, I hope that you are as excited as I am
for the year ahead as our students explore their potential in and out of the classroom.

I am excited to hear that we also have new families who have joined our community across all our six campuses. I
look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during the school year – and to hear your stories of your
experience at Nova Pioneer, particularly the growth each child will experience as they discover that they can
achieve anything they set out to do.

As we embark on what I believe will be a year of tremendous growth for us as a community, I am excited to share
with you that Nova Pioneer will be entering into a property partnership with Heri Holdings to acquire, enhance
and develop school facilities. This partnership will strengthen as well as enable the expansion of Nova Pioneer’s
school network and mission. The transaction has recently received approval from the Competition Authority of
Kenya (CAK), which is an important step towards its completion. This partnership is a property financing
partnership, limited to the acquisition and development of physical properties, and does not relate to the school
operations. Nova Pioneer schools remain wholly owned and operated by Nova Pioneer Kenya. Nova Pioneer and
Heri aim to complete the steps to their partnership by the end of the first quarter.

Some of the growth opportunities that the partnership has the potential to unlock for impact for our students
include and are a key priority for us include;

• Continued academic excellence to lead the way in rigorous National Curriculum education, with
teaching and learning the Nova Pioneer Way. This requires us to attract, support, develop and retain
excellent educators.

• Introducing a Cambridge Curriculum pathway with the launch of Nova Pioneer Tatu City International,
providing Nova Pioneer culture, teaching and learning, and innovation and leadership programmes, with a
Cambridge IGCSE secondary school curriculum, at fair fee levels, alongside continued leadership in CBC
and 8-4-4 education.

• Strong Novaneer culture, to provide the foundations of great learning, student character and a
community with lasting connection.

• Innovation and leadership education at Nova Pioneer, with an extended and formalised curriculum and
programme, and opportunities for students to develop and showcase their ideas and capabilities in these
areas. One particularly exciting development is that we are in initial discussions with Strathmore
University on a programme to develop further our I&L programmes, including the development and
incorporation of an Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) curriculum into Innovation & Leadership programme.

• Post School Success: supporting the best post-school learning and paths for our students, and a lifetime
of opportunity and growth for Novaneer alumni.

1
• The many beyond-classroom opportunities available to our students to excel and to growth, as holistic
young and uniquely talented individuals and teammates.

• A phased campus facilities renewal and development programme across the network.

You can anticipate updates throughout the year on our progress on each of the above areas that we intend to lead
in this year and I am eager to receive feedback from you as we grow together.

I am excited for a great year ahead together as the Nova Pioneer community!

In partnership,
