WORK EXPERIENCE

ML Consultant (Feb 2022 – March 2023)

Improving - Calgary, Alberta
• Design and build cloud-native on-demand, scalable and elastic data pipelines using AWS
infrastructure.
• Build and maintain data warehouses solution.
• Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure the accuracy of data.
NLP Consultant (Oct 2020 - Jan 2021)
Risk Alive - Calgary, Alberta
• Automated hazard analysis process for manufacturing plants.
• Converted hazard analysis code from VBA to Python web service, adhering to modern
architecture principles.
• Analyze data and apply cutting-edge machine learning algorithms to improve the accuracy
of the existing automated processes.
• Achieved 20% accuracy improvement for text categorization tasks.
• Deployed developed code into the production environment (Azure cloud platform).
Senior Software developer R&D (Mar 2013 - Oct 2020)
Complex System Inc - Calgary, Alberta
• Lead software team, collaborating with researchers and other stakeholders.
• Technical project manager for projects awarded by Defense Research and Development
Canada (DRDC), Canadian Space Agency (CSA), National Research Council (NRC)
• Multi-modal sensor data analysis for surveillance
• Designed and implemented client server architecture to process large-volume sensor data
in real-time and offline.
• Technologies used includes C/C++, python, OpenCV, object detection (MaskRCNN, YOLO),
conditional random field (CRF), and tracker (particle filter), MATLAB, Probabilistic graphical
mode, TensorFlow etc.

Sample Projects:
• Multi-sensor video analytic with distance learning for anomaly detection; project awarded by Defence
Research and Development Canada (DRDC)
o Technical project manager, Kaisar was involved in identifying critical challenges for anomaly
detection from multi-sensor data and providing cutting edge innovative solutions.
o Performed R&D on unified deep learning architecture where 3D convolutional layers were used
to extract spatio-temporal features followed by region proposal generation for anomaly
detection.
o Addressed imbalance proportion of anomaly data using semi-supervised learning method,
generative adversarial network.
• EO/IR Data Analytic for Maritime Surveillance; project awarded by DRDC
o Implemented particle filter-based tracking algorithm to perform multi-target tracking and
association. Eigen-based object appearance model which is scale invariant is used to track
objects of different sizes. Object recognition is performed by fusing cues from object of interest,
motion cues and appearance model.
o The kinematic features and the appearance cues are classified using a deep neural network.
• Urban Monitoring Change Detection for Multi-sensor Satellite Imagery; awarded by Canadian Space
Agency (CSA)
o Developed framework for change detection using RADARSAT-2 POLSAR and Electro-optic (EO)
imagery with applications for urban monitoring.
o Used probabilistic graphical model (CRF) with conventional optical features like HoG, LBP, Grey-
Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and convolutional neural network (CNN) to identify five land
use classes.
o Used machine-learning based registration technique using low-rank tensors and convolutional-
induced neighborhood descriptors to register SAR and EO imagery.
