for two weeks. The government sends soldiers to help the people go shopping for food and grocery.
Estimate the number of soldiers needed to satisfy this task.

2) Estimate the number of motorbike repair shops in Saigon.

Base on tienphong.vn , we have the number of households in the Ho Chi Minh city is about 2.5 milions .

The problem is calculated in the case that every household need the help to go to the market .

-Each household can only ask for help once a week, so we have 1 week of requests for help :

2500000 (request)

- One soldier can go to the market for 20 households in one day.

if we deal with all requests in 1 day , we will need 2500000/20=125000 ( soldiers ).

if we deal with all requests in 7 day , we will need 2500000/20/7 ≈ 17857 (soldiers).

because each household can only ask for help once a week

So the minimum and maximum amount of soldiers we need in this campaign is

between 17857 and 125000 (soldiers)

2) The area of Ho Chi Minh city is : 2061 𝑘𝑚2

base on google map , we can calculate the number of motorbike repair shops in 1 𝑘𝑚2 is about : 20

So we can estimate the number of motorbike repair shops in Saigon is about : 20* 2061 = 41200 (shops)
