We are oftentimes asked to fill out forms whenever we use documents at the
school, bank, or office. This is an essential activity that we cannot avoid doing. For these
reasons, we need to master how to fill out forms. Can you do the job?
Did you know that to fill up CANNOT be used to mean the act of completing a form?
Can a form hold liquid? Since it cannot, it is not appropriate to use fill up. The appropriate

During enrolment time, your parents need to fill-out a registration form for you. This
is a form which asks information about you, like your name, age, address, and others. It is
always a good idea to read the entire form before we start to fill it out. Some forms require
us to write our last name first.
Others require the first name. Most forms specify that we type or print the
information needed. Others require our own handwriting. Since you are now old enough to
know
these, you must be able to learn how to fill out the form yourself.
Forms often require a lot of information. Each form is filled out for a particular
purpose.
Examine the form below. What are the information asked? How did the person who
filled-out the form supply the information?
The following are some guidelines for filling out forms accurately.
1. Make sure that the information you are giving is complete and accurate, writing an
incomplete address for example, may make it difficult for the company you are applying to
contact you by mail.
2. Check if you spelled the words and wrote the numbers correctly.
3. Write neatly and legibly. Do not use pencil. Use only blue or black ink in filling-out forms.
Or better yet, use a typewriter or a computer.
