JAVASCRIPT

JavaScript is a versatile programming language that is commonly used to add interactivity

and dynamic behaviour to web pages. It is a client-side scripting language, meaning it runs
in the user's web browser rather than on the web server.

Embedding JavaScript:
 You can include JavaScript code directly in your HTML documents using the
<script> tag.
 The <script> tag can be placed in the <head> or <body> section of an HTML
document.

Example:

<script>: This tag is used to embed JavaScript code directly within the HTML
document.
<script>

Func on showMessage() {

alert(‘Hello, World!’);

</script>

 In this script section, a JavaScript function named showMessage is defined. This

function, when called, displays an alert with the message "Hello, World!"

<body>: This section contains the content of the HTML document, such as text,
images, and interactive elements.
 <button onclick="showMessage()">Click me</button> : This creates a button with
the label "Click me." The onclick attribute is used to specify the JavaScript
code that should be executed when the button is clicked. In this case, it calls
the showMessage function defined earlier, which displays the alert.

When you open this HTML document in a web browser, it will display a button, and when
you click the button, it will trigger the showMessage function, resulting in an alert with the
message "Hello, World!"

JAVASCRIPT ADVANTAGES

JavaScript provides several advantages in web development:

1. Client-Side Interactivity:
 Enables dynamic and interactive user interfaces on the client side.
2. Versatility:
 Used for both front-end and back-end development, offering a full-stack solution.
3. Wide Adoption:
 Supported by all major browsers, making it a standard for client-side scripting.
4. Asynchronous Programming:
 Supports asynchronous tasks, enhancing performance in web applications.
5. Rich Ecosystem:
 Abundant libraries and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js) expedite
development.
6. Easy Integration:
 Seamlessly integrates with HTML and CSS, facilitating DOM manipulation.
7. Community Support:
 Large and active developer community ensures ample resources and solutions.
8. Cross-Platform Compatibility:
 Allows cross-platform app development with frameworks like React Native.
9. Immediate Feedback:
 Real-time testing and debugging speed up the development process.
10. Regular Updates:
 Continuous evolution with regular updates, keeping the language modern.
11. High Performance:
 Optimized JavaScript engines in browsers ensure fast and responsive web apps.
