Feanor era un elfo Eladrin che dimorava nella città


di Arborea nella Selva Fatata. Qui era un maestro
d'armi del regno elfico e passava le sue giornate
addestrando i giovani rampolli nobili nell'uso di
spada, arco e combattimento. Come molti Eladrin
pur essendo portato per le arti arcane ha subito un
addestramento marziale e non ha mai studiato la
magia. Il giorno della cerimonia finale
d'addestramento del principe vengono regalate 2
spade dalla lama nera, una ad Feanor ( il maestro
) ed una al giovane principe ( l'allievo ) a
simboleggiare il legame che li legherà in eterno.
Nella notte dopo la cerimonia, Feanor si svegliò
perché sentì una voce nella testa, un sussurro che
si faceva sempre più forte quando si avvicinava
alla lama oscura…la lama era senziente e
chiedeva di essere impugnata. Una volta brandita
l' arma la voce diventò un urlo disperato che
rimbombava nella testa di Feanor e gli chiedeva
aiuto, nel frattempo l'elfo vide una visione di una
giovane che scappava da un orco nel bosco.
Feanor si precipitò per salvarla e lottò con l'orco,
finita la lotta cadde anche l'illusione… Quello che
pensava fosse un orco era il principe ( anch'esso
stregato ) e la fanciulla altri non era che la Regina
Corvo, dea della dimensione chiamata Coltre
Oscura. Ora l'elfo si ritrovava nei guai, infatti se
l'avessero scoperto, l'avrebbero condannato a
morte…dunque la dea approfittando della sua
disperazione gli offrì un patto… Salvezza e
conoscenza delle arti magiche in cambio dei suoi
servigi, Feanor nonostante fosse disgustato
all'idea di scendere a patti con la divinità che gli
aveva sconvolto la vita per sempre, accetta le
condizioni del patrono. Subito dopo aver siglato il
patto la Regina aprì un Crocevia Fatato per far
fuggire il suo nuovo accolito nel Piano Materiale.
In seguito Feanor che in elfico significava "la
fiamma che arde" cambiò nome in Azrael "il
portatore di morte". Ma questo non fù l'unica cosa
a cambiare, infatti i suoi capelli passarono dal
biondo dorato al platino, l'incarnato della sua pelle
si spense e la sua armatura dapprima scintillante
e radiosa diventò tetra e maligna. Il potere
