Q1: Name the main regions of the Muslim World?
Ans: Geographically we can divide the vast area of the Muslim world into the
following five main regions.
1. Muslim Countries of Africa
2. Muslim Countries of the Middle East
3. Muslim Countries of the Central Asia
4. Muslim Countries of the South Asia
5. Muslim Countries of South-East Asia

Q2: Give an acoount of the Muslim countries located in Africa.

Ans: In the Northern and Western part of Africa, lies the largest region of the
Muslim World. This region includes Sudan, Egypt, Libra, Algeria, Tunisia,,
Morocco, Mauritania, Niger and Nigeria.

Q3: Describe the importance of the Muslim countries of the Middle East.
Ans: Muslim countries of the Middle East form the second largest region of
the Muslim world. The entire Middle East except for the area occupied by
Israel, consistes of Muslim Countries. The Suez Canal connects the Red Sea
and the Mediterranean Sea. Senai, a province of Egypt, which lies to the east of
Suez, also fall in the Middle East. The Muslim countries of this region are
Turkey, Syria, Jorden, Iraq, Saudia Arabia, Iran and Afghanistan.
Q4: Write a note on the following:

a) Muslim Countries of Central Asia:

The Independent Muslim status of the Central Asia are Kazakhstan,
Uzbekistan, Kyrgystan, Tajikistan, Turkmanistan and Azerbaijan.
b) Muslim Countries of South Asia:
Pakistan and Bangladesh are two large Muslim countries. Another
Muslim country in south Asia is Maldives. It is a small country which consists
of many small islands.
c) Muslim countries of South East-Asia:
Indonesia is the largest Muslim country according to population. The
Second largest Muslim country is Malaysia.
Q5: What is the importance of the Muslim countries in the world?
And: The Muslim countries occupy a vast territory in the globe. They have a
good number of lakes.
1. The Denial Pass and Basphorus straits in Turkey are of great importance.
They abridge the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea.
2. The Suez Canal flowing through Egypt is of great importance for trade
activities and Sea transportation.
3. Many African and Asian Islamic Coutries are located in the coasts of the
Indian Sea and Arabian Sea.
4. Indonesia and Malaysia are bounded by the Indian Sea on their West and
Pacific Ocean on their cast of the Muslim Countries are rich in mineral wealth
especially Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Libya produce Crude oil in large
quantities.

Q6: Describe the importance of Pakistan in the Muslim World.

Ans: According to population, Pakistan Second among the Muslim countries.
Geographically, Pakistan holds Central position among the Islamic countries.
It shows a keen interest in the affairs of the Muslim world. Pakistan plays an
active role in promoting unity among the Muslim countries. It has emerged as
the only atomic power among the Islamic countries.
