a stated time in the past.
Positive
I / He / She was walking home yesterday at 6 p.m.

It was raining yesterday at 6 p.m.
Negative
I / He / She wasn’t walking home yesterday at 6 p.m.
You / We / They weren’t walking home yesterday at 6 p.m.
It wasn’t raining yesterday at 6 p.m.
Yes / No Questions and Short Answers
Was it raining yesterday at 6 p.m.? Yes, it was. / No, it wasn’t.
Were you walking home yesterday at 6 p.m.? Yes, we were. / No, we weren’t.
Wh- Questions
