WHERE MY MARKS HAVE GONE! – An Anecdote

Hi! I am Deepakshi Bora, today I am going to tell you a very interesting event of my life. Recently on
29th March this year we all got our report cards and got promoted to class X, and I was super excited
and nervous too for my result. When I went inside the class, our class teacher Mam gave me my
report card. But there was something really suspicious about it, guess what?…. I had almost good
marks in every subject but in English I got only 66 out of 100. And that was the first column of
report card , when I saw it I was terrified like. Oh God..‼ how is this even possible. I didn’t even look
at other subjects, my mom was talking with my class teacher. I was still in shock, she appreciated
me , but she said I had to work hard in English. At first I couldn’t believe that I got this low marks
but when she said it ,I had to believe there was no other choice for me.

Taking a gloomy and sad face I came home and the moment I showed my
report card to my family, I started crying badly and inconsolably, I was really sobbing hard. Then my
father called our teacher of English, we got an appointment and met her the next day. She really
co-operated, listened and checked my marks again, but I was restless until Mam told us that she has
checked records and my marks had to be corrected upto 86. Actually my internal, marks were not
added due to some technical issue, so finally my marks in English was going to increase by 20.
Though 86 is not very good but better than 66,and my joy was on the next level.

I would like to thank my teachers for their support and quick

action on this matter also thanks to my Ma and Papa for their support and confidence in me.
Because if they all had not supported me I would have got depressed and for future I would always
have English subject phobia. So, please if you have any kind of problem, talk and share it with
parents and teachers. They will definitely help you to come out of it. That’s why I am sharing this
with you all.!

“ Side effects of Corona”
I loved to go to school

But there spread a virus,

Which broke all rules,

The virus was very dangerous .

The whole world fought

But no way to abort,

Corona the silent killer was it named,

The inventor didn’t even felt ashamed.

Everything was closed

Our life was paused,

Everyone was home,

No where to roam.

The entire world became digital,

But corona was critical.

I learnt many new things,

The phone always rings.

It’s time for online exams

Time for opening our cams

The year passed in online studies

But we really missed our buddies.
