Houses are interactable structures and a major

part of the "Adopt Me!” gameplay. They are the
player's spawn point when they join the game,
and players can customize their houses with an
assortment of wallpapers, floors and furniture.
Players can lock and unlock their own houses to
prevent players from coming in, and the locked
houses can only be entered by the player's in
game family. Doors of unlocked houses will
swing open if you are nearby; while doors of
locked houses will stay put. You are given a
notice that they are locked if you try to enter
them. You can buy most homes with Bucks, but
some require a game pass. It is possible to buy a
pack, (a house, cars, etc.) with some game
passes.

All Houses, except for those in Premium Plots,

are located in the neighborhood, an area
separated from Adoption Island. Until the July
2018 update, houses could only be rented,
which means that that players had to rent them
again if they were to leave the game and re-join.
Though, there is a game pass that sets the
home around Adopt Me Island. Before the
update, the original spawn point for players
used to be the Nursery.

You can sell your houses to get a bit of money

back but not as much as you bought it for. There
was a building exploit discovered by a YouTuber
called Cbeo with Co-op Building, which led to
some drama surrounding the houses and the
decorations.

[Note: Some houses have not been added

yet, and that furniture can NOT be moved
from house to house.]
