This course shows how the principles of mechanics and structural analysis can be applied
in Plastic Design of structures. Focus will be on Steel as a perfect ductile material. Steel
bars in RC give it some ductility. Therefore, most plastic design principles may be applied
for RC frames with special adjustments in the failure criteria.
Homework: One homework assignment (a total of about 12) will be due every Saturday.
Late HW submission is NOT allowed.
