Foundation:
Throughout the year, the treatment of social sciences and natural sciences proposes
that children enrich, complex, expand and organize their vocabulary about the social
and natural environment. Children are expected to be able to describe the
environment with short words or phrases and begin to establish some links between
the social and natural aspects that make it up. This path will begin at the initial level
and will continue throughout the education they receive.
This time is not only for them to learn science and enrich their game, and also to train
more and more curious children, better observers, who wonder about reality, explore,
seek information, manage to establish relationships and articulate increasingly
complex materials:

● Inquire about common characteristics of different animals.
● Compare the parts of the animals.
● Relate the characteristics of the members of the body and the different forms
of displacement.

• Creation of a comfortable working atmosphere for all children.
• Stimulation of children's imagination and creativity.
• Listening to narrative texts.
• Information obtained through observation: obtain information on the characteristics of
different animals, plants, materials, etc.
• Search for different information in various sources: books, magazines, encyclopedias, web
pages.
• Communication with families about the work done.
