PRE-LESSON 1. Pupils greet their teacher.


2. Pupils refer to the picture of giraffe posted on the board by the teacher. They
write the following; This is my favourite animal. It lives in __. It has got __ and

LESSON DEVELOPMENT 3. Pupils refer to textbook page 87 and listen to CD2 46 for reading guidance.
4. Pupils are guided to complete the Kinah’s plan about her favourite animal by
copying Activity 2 into their exercise books.
5. Pupils are explained that they have to do another graphic organizer to insert
their own plan based on their favourite animal.
6. Pupils complete their own animal plan (M). Pupils are guided to complete the
graphic organizer (L).

PRE-LESSON 1. Pupils greet the teacher.
2. Elicit short sentences with past tense verbs about film director in previous
lesson. Provide prompts e.g. Went to … in Canada. Became truck…, Made Avatar…
LESSON DEVELOPMENT 3. Write on board, ‘famous city’, ‘famous actor’, ‘famous sports star’. Pupils give
examples of each. Write some examples on board below three categories. Pupils
do p.77, Activity 4. (HOTS)
4. After pupils ask and answer questions about their paragraph, ask: Did any pairs
have the same city, actor and sports star? Pupils memorise their paragraph.
Choose pupils to say it aloud to class. Can they remember all the words? (21st
CA)
5. Activity 5, Use It!: Pupils look at Q3. Provide a question starter on board: ‘When
did you last go...?’ Pupils write all the questions in Activity 5 then with a partner
take turns to ask and answer. Choose pairs to ask and answer questions aloud.
Ask class after each: Does anyone have the same information?
6. Pupils in small groups do Finished? They look at questions in Activity 5 again. Ask:
Which two sentences are the longest? Tell them to count the number of words.
