1. How is film used as an advertising medium? Explain and cite an example. (10pts)
- Film is used as an advertising medium in a way that there are more target
audiences that can view or watch an on going film or a trailer. In our generation, not
only adults has their own gadgets but also teenagers and kids to use as their medium
on how they entertain theirselves. As my observation in some videos especially in
vlogs that I’ve watched recently, they are adding films as an ads in their videos. Also
when every time I browse in my social media accounts I also encountered films as an
ads. In the movie of KathNiel wherein they also used their movie on advertising their
own product endorsement such as Nescafé.

2. Discuss the pros and cons of subliminal messages in films. (3-5 sentences) (10pts)
- The pros of subliminal messages in films is that they did it in a creative way
where people or audiences of a certain video will not that easily determine and see a
hidden message that symbolizes sexuality and more. While in the other hand the
cons of subliminal messages in films is that it should not be placed on Disney movies
wherein children’s are their target audiences. Therefore, film production industry
must and should always be very careful on putting subliminal messages in films that
they will produced.

see it around you? How has the film influenced you? Explain. (3-5 sentences) (10 pts)
- The kind of culture that is seen in the film was the Filipino characteristic
wherein helping each other to reach it’s goals. The guy doesn’t hesitate to help the
other one in order for him to go to school and graduate.
As of now, yes, I see and witnessed this kind of scenario, even though it’s not the
same with the film that is all about reaching dreams but a scenario wherein helping
others such as street children’s and beggars in the street.
The film influenced me by simply touches my heart in not hesitating on helping
others even in a little and simple way.
