ELEC264 Assignment 3 Signals and Systems I

Study sections 4.1 to 4.6 of Chapter 4, then go to the proper tutorial. In tutorial, the tutor will
solve some problems and that will help you to solve this assignment. This assignment is due on
Monday March 23rd at 4PM in the mailbox of the instructor. Solutions will be provided
immediately after the due time.

Assignment has 10 Questions and they all have the same value. The value of this assignment is
1.5% of your total grade for the course. Please note that you have to submit “Expectations of
Originality Form” as well.

inverse Fourier transforms of following two signals:

Question 9) X ( jω ) = −

So we have to use convolution to find x(t ) as follows:

x(t ) = ∫ s (τ ) s (t − τ )dτ
−∞

⎧2 − t , t <2
Do this convolution and the result should be: x (t ) = ⎨
⎩ 0, t >2
