Kuntaya Basic Cycle Award Scheme unit on Saturday the 3rd of February 2024, organized series of

activities for the participants of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award; The President's
International Award, The Gambia. These activities include lectures on the President's International
Award by Mr. L. Jagne, Community Service and Physical Recreation by Mr. Kurbally, The Teacher
Coordinator for Kuntaya Basic Cycle Award unit.

The event begin with a prayers and introduction songs, followed by the lectures on the award. Upon
completion, the participants including the two facilatators; Mr Kurbally and L. Jagne, led the team for a
community service where they were able to clean the school surrounding and the most important areas
of within the community.

Later on, the participants were introduced to gardening in which Mr. Kurbally proudly and willingly
donate the Kuntaya Basic Cycle Award unit a garden of 11 beds of 2m × 90cm with planted seedlings.

Furthermore, the were taken for a physical recreational. The physical recreation was headed by Mr
Kurbally where he trained participants some physical activities.

The event was closed with a vote of thanks to the Regional Coordinator Mr. Amadou Cham for his
tireless work on the award within the region and it's interiors.
