Governing a Nation

In the Council, at the Chief's Circle. The greatest Chief is barely known by his own people. His trust in them is complete and unquestioned, Therefore he is trusted. The greatest Chief embraces humility And knows that he is here only to support others. Within the Nation, he walks without ceremony. He seldom speaks but always listens. He embraces the wisdom of all others But claims no knowledge or skill of his own. Always present, the greatest Chief seems approachable. He waits quietly for the moment when he is needed And is then willing to give everything to his Nation. The greatest Chief is like a smooth stone, Always at rest, Unassuming, Easily overlooked, Forever patient, But ready to be transformed in the moment of need.
