defining their jobs-to-be-done. You can also directly ask: Why did you hire our product? What were you trying to
solve?
⓶ 👋 ADD ONBOARDING STEP: Once you have a better idea of the customer's JTBD, try adding a step in the
onboarding that will reassure users that they're at the right place.
⓷ 🤖 AUTOMATE YOUR RESEARCH: In that same step, simply add an option for people to tell you directly why they
hired your product. That way, you can stay aware of constantly evolving customers' needs.
⓸ 🔀 CRAFT DIFFERENT PATHS: After selecting a "job," users will expect a more personalized journey. Make sure
you don't send them to "catch-all" screens.
⓹ 📊 ANALYZE & ITERATE: Make sure you keep track of early retention to see where your onboarding fails. Also,
it's interesting to look at which "job" retains users the longest. That way, you can modify your acquisition
strategies to attract more of those people!
