Control circuit:
A) Multiple carrier Wave Generation
Four in-phase carrier waves (Triangular Waves) of 5 KHz frequency are generated with the
help of schematic diagram as shown in Fig 2. Pulse generator has a frequency of 5 KHz with
amplitude of 20,000 is selected. A constant value of 10000 is subtracted from the pulse
generator output to obtain a square wave of 5 KHz with amplitude of +/- 10000. This square
wave is integrated with the help of integrator to with initial value of (0) to obtain the
triangular wave of 5 KHz with 0 to 1 magnitude. Other carrier waves of amplitude (1 to 2),
(0 to -1) and (-1 to - 2) are obtained as shown in Fig. 4.

Inverter

b) Switching Signal Generation
Multiple carrier waves are compared with a modulating sinusoidal wave of 50 Hz to
generate the switching signal as shown in Fig 3. This will generate the switching signals for
one leg of the inverter. The other leg switching signals are generated by comparing multiple
carrier waves with phase shifted modulating wave. Modulation Index of the inverter is
controlled by controlling the magnitude of the modulating wave.
