Amravati as a district consists of 4 sub-divisions which are further divided into 14 talukas, It

is mainly divided into four sub-divisions which are Amravati, Buldhana, Washim & Yavatmal.
Following is the budget allocation for sustainable development of Amaravati as a revenue
zone:

1) Transport : Amravati has good road and rail connectivity in the whole district. Amravati
has Dr. Punjab Rao Deshmukh domestic airport for Air connectivity. It is one of the stations
in the major project of Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Samriddhi Mahamarg,
apart from this it has two highways which connect main cities in the district.
80 crores out of 500 are allotted for maintenance and development of transport
infrastructure.

2) Tourism : Amravati is a part of Melghat Tiger Reserve,It has various pilgrimage centres
like Amba Devi Temple & Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, also due to the blessing of
nature It has a great potential for development in rural tourism.
135 crores out of 500 will be allotted for development in tourism.

3) Environment & Tribes : The west of the district also has tribes It includes Korku Bond
Nihal and Balai. 85 crores out of 500 crores will be allotted for environment and tribal
development. For development & protection of tribal culture & activities it will be used
for providing sustainable economic opportunities and overall development of tribe and tribal
area while keeping in mind the importance and sacredness of the environment.
The development of national parks and wildlife sanctuaries in the district building
infrastructure for connectivity, protecting environment and wildlife in particular areas.

4) Basic necessity : Amravati has three major dams which can be used for water supply,
electricity generation and Agriculture.
40 crores will be allotted for water supply in the whole district. As Amravati faces droughts
more oftenly these will be utilised for providing drinking water for household and water for
different activities like agriculture and industry
40 crores will be allotted for electricity supply for different industries & urban rural tribal
areas.
120 crores out of 500 will be allotted for developing the lifestyle of the people.
The infrastructure will be built using modern technology while keep in mind the importance of
the balance between development and environment it will be ensured that there will be no
harm to environmental wildlife and the tribal people.
