METHODOLOGY
Research Paradigm
The diagram below is the research paradigm of this study ( Figure 1). The
method sequence is as follows.

Protocol
A letter of permission was written to the National Irrigation Administration ( NIA)
Palawan Irrigation Management Office ( PIMO), to ask permission to conduct the
study on the assessment of the condition in a small irrigation project at Panitia
Sorfonio Española Palawan. Another letter was written to the Municipal
Government. Lastly, a letter was sent to the Engineer who has a contract with this
project.
Data Gathering
Field observation- the researchers visit the irrigation site and observe the con tion of
the infrastructure, materials used, and soil or land texture. Take note of any visible signs
of damage, deterioration, or inefficiencies in the irrigation system.
Tabulation of data
The data gathered were tabulated separately as follows
a. Tabulation for the damages and deterioration.
b. Identify the land or soil textures.
c. Identify the materials used.
d. Identify the inefficiencies in the irrigation system.
