SCRIPT FOR THE OPENING CEREMONY OF ENGLISH WEEK 2022

Opening speech Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and a very good

morning to our honourable Headmaster, Encik Rostam Bin Jalil,
dedicated Senior Assistant of Administration, Puan Zurina binti Meri,
Senior Assistant of Student’s Affairs, Puan Hasni bte Karim, Senior
Assistant of Co-curricular Affairs, Encik Azrul bin Ali, caring and
loving teachers and all beloved friends.

I would also like to thank the Al-Mighty Allah Subhanahu Wa ta’ala,

for his blessings that we are here today for the opening ceremony of the
ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS WEEK OF SEKOLAH
KEBANGSAAN SERI DUYONG FOR THE YEAR 2023!!!

For your information, I, MUHAMMAD AMAN HASIF BIN

AZRUL will be the master of ceremony for our event today.

Before we start our ceremony, I would like to invite ENCIK MOHD

SAIFUL AZZAM BIN SHUKOR to recite the prayers. Please

AZZAM BIN SHUKOR. It is hoped that our ceremony will be in His
blessing. InsyaAllah..

Now, we are going to sing the National Anthem, the state song and the
ENGLISH VERSION of the school song.
Teachers and pupils, please stand up. ( pupils sing songs)
Next, our assembly will continue with the recitation of the National
Principal / Rukun Negara and Student’s Oath. I would like to invite
MUHAMMAD ANAS AL-HAKIM BIN AMINNUDEEN
to read out the pledges.

Teachers and pupils…….

As we know, today is the beginning of the English and Mathematics
Week for our school. For your information, this program will be held
for five days, starting from today until Friday. During these
programmes, many interesting activities will be held throughout this
week.
Let me read out the list of activities throughout English and
Mathematics Week
On Monday, 6th of November will be COLOUR THE SHAPES
competition for Pre School pupils. While for Level 1 pupils will be
FINDING THE SHAPES competition and SHAPE YOUR
PICTURE competition for Level 2 pupils.
On Tuesday, 7th of November, will be the Spell It Right competition for
both Level 1 and Level 2 pupils.
On Wednesday 8th of July, all Level 1 and Level 2 pupils can let their
creativity run wild in the COLOUR and CREATE YOUR
BOOKMARK competition.

We hope that pupils from Preschool, Level 1 and Level 2 will grab this
opportunity to take part in all the activities planned for you. Hence, gain
a lot of benefits from these activities.

Now, we have come to the main event of our ceremony which is the
Opening Speech from the Headmaster. Hence, with the greatest
pleasure, I would like to invite our Honourable Headmaster, Encik
Rostam bin Jalil, to give his Opening Speech and declare open the
English and Mathematics Week 2023. Please welcome!!!

Thank you, Encik Rostam bin Jalil for the speech and launching of the
opening ceremony of English and Mathematics Week 2023. From his
speech just now, we can conclude that he really hoped that all the pupils
will gain the benefits from these programmes.

Teachers and pupils,

Are you ready for some entertainment?

Now, I will like to invite the pupils from Year 2 and Year 3 to perform
the song “SHAPES”. Let’s give them a warm of applause.

With that performance,

Teachers and pupils we have now come to the end of our ceremony
today.

Before we end our ceremony today, I would like to take this

opportunity to appeal to all pupils and teachers to try to speak English
at all times. Let’s practise speaking English to one another as often as
we can.

With the effort of both teachers and pupils, we are sure that we can
enrich the English speaking environment in our school. Hence, I wish
the ENGLISH WEEK EVERY SUCCESS!!!!
