 COMPUTERS: THE MAJOR CONCEPTS

"Mind tool" … it is the common name of computers,

where the computer systems have the ability of perform all
mental activities we need. The computers can calculate all the
complex calculations very quickly, and can perform all the
functions without exception in microseconds or less, including
very high accuracy. At present time the computer becomes at all
homes, offices, companies, … etc. but in the future the
computers will be the major toll in our life, and the computer
networks will be also the main object in all works and
businesses, because of its importance, not only in the database
domain, and information base domain, but because of its wide
importance in the other fields of the hier levels, such as:
Knowledge base, no how base, Understand bas, and the Wizdom
base … no ways the computers will be all things in our life in the
future.

The computer systems can be classified into four classes;

according their speed or their processing capabilities, its
functions, its technology, the physical size, and the major.
Performance. So that there are four major classes of computers:
Microcomputers (PCs), Minicomputers, Mainframes,
Supercomputers, see figure (1).
