SUGAR FACTORY
(At Maval)

Date 10-3-2011. Time- 12:45 PM to 2:00 PM.

This is the report on Sugar factory, in maval Pune. Mr. Nawale is the chairmen of this sugar factory, it is located in maval and very old factory in this area, so the worker can be easily available and good transportation facility it also near from Hinjewadi and from Lonavala side. We all know every factory wants raw material. Sugarcane is basic primary raw material for sugar factory, they take sugarcane from farmer or share-holder of company, all production is based on raw material without sugar cane sugar cant produce. Very systematically work carried out in sugar factory, they take sugar from farmers in bulk & then there are various processes on sugar cane, the company using the advance and automated technology. First step to check the net weight of sugar cane then they cheak the sugar level , all work take place by using machine, Cutting of sugar cane is the next step in production with the help of big machine they drop all the sugar cane in cutter canal motor pushes the cane into cutter with circular moveable belt , cutter did the small piece of the sugar cane, it is step by step working of machine, when one process are complete then it moves to next process. Boiler is one of the important part in sugar factory he having big amount of energy, but this sugar factory create his own energy for boiler.

With the help of boiler they set the temperature as per their requirement then process is continuous flow then it transfer to next process, big pipeline help it transfer liquid material, then check the mixture of material. They reduce the wastage also wastage material uses for make paper with the help of recycling process. They uses the converge belt to transfer the material one station to other station also having large area of company so transportation is very easy into company, they store their sugar in big warehouse. Many unskilled people get the job in this organization, also they reserve some amount of sugar for government and remaining stock sold in market & get good profit. When we comparing this factory to other once, I think this organization is not updated they needs to update their factory, they can use old machine or all old technique. The employee are not so qualified they cannot doing their work properly many employee were smoking in factory in front of machine, no one can use the hand gloves in working , they not wearing proper dress-code.
