1. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a virus that is

highly pathogenic and has caused the recent worldwide pandemic officially
named coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Two different types of vaccines have
been developed and used globally, based on viral vectors (Oxford/AstraZeneca)
and mRNA (Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna). Describe how each of these two
different type of vaccines work and discuss the differences between them. Use
diagrams to help explain your answer

2. Biomass-based fuels are often promoted as sustainable alternatives to fossil

fuels. However, there are a number of conflicting reports that highlight issues
surrounding both the sustainability and the ethics of biofuels. Discuss current
concerns surrounding the sustainability and the ethics associated with the use of
biofuels (both 1st generation and advanced biofuels).
