First Reading Models:

A friend in Need, is a Friend Indeed?

Friendship is important. However, sometimes people say things that they don’t
really mean. Is a friend in need, a friend indeed? In my opinion, real friends don’t
have to always help. This is because a friend’s need can be wrong, and because I
don’t want my friendship to be conditioned.

First, friends don’t always need things that are right. A friend can try to do bad
things. They might want to fight someone, or speed in their cars. That is why
there are a lot of people in jail because they helped their friends. I don’t think that
helping my friend is always the best idea.

In addition, I don’t want a friend that stops being my friend if I don’t help
him/her. In my perspective, if a friend stops being my friend because I don’t help
him/her, then they are not real friends. They were just trying to use me. That is
not a real friendship.

So, this is my belief: I don’t think it is right that a friend in need is a friend
indeed. I think that this is true because: friends don’t always do what is right, and
friends should not use their friends. I think a friend that can help you should do
so, but does not have to be a real friend.
