Analysis

Guide Questions:
a. How do you define sculpture?

 The most enduring and, arguably, the greatest form of fine art known to man,
sculpture has played a major role in the evolution of Western culture. Its history
and stylistic development are those of Western art itself. Sculpture, an artistic
form in which hard or plastic materials are worked into three-dimensional art
objects. The designs may be embodied in freestanding objects, in reliefs on
surfaces, or in environments ranging from tableaux to contexts that envelop the
spectator.

b. What could be the basis for making sculpture as a form of art?

 The two most important elements of sculpture—mass and space—are, of course,

separable only in thought. All sculpture is made of a material substance that has
mass and exists in three-dimensional space. Mass refers to the sculpture's bulk,
the solid bit contained within its surfaces. Space is the air around the solid
sculpture, and reacts with the latter in several ways: first, it defines the edges of
the sculpture; second, it can be enclosed by part of the sculpture, forming hollows
or areas of emptiness; third, it can link separate parts of the sculpture which thus
relate to one another across space. An artist must consider how the sculpture will
look from all angles, in other words whether the sculpture will be interesting and
pleasing from all angles.

use?

 If I were a sculptor, the piece would I make is a statue, because statues convey
and perpetuate honor. Consequently, no matter how important their historical role,
villains simply do not merit statues, nor do they merit having their names
associated with lakes or streets or schools or military bases and etc. And the
materials I could be used is cement, steel, and wires. heart outlined.

shows how this kind of art’s productive, expressive and not easy to make, because
sculpture is also tactile one could actually touch it and feel its various textures and
forms, the branch of the visual arts that operates in three dimensions which is
physically presented in the dimensions of height, width and depth and one of the
plastic arts. And mostly you’ll see sculpture on models for history, religious,
