Ahsanullah Mohsen, and Omer Sharif. (2020). Employee Participation In Decision Making
And Its Effect On Job Satisfaction. International Journal of Research -
GRANTHAALAYAH, 8(7), 415-422.

Introduction
Decision making is a crucial activity in organizations, often requiring months of gathering
information or exchanging details. In today's competitive environment, companies need a human
resource pool that generates high performance. Participative management is considered essential
for employee satisfaction, as it allows individuals to share influence among themselves and
maintains a balance between the involvement of managers and employee participation.
Participation is believed to have a power on painting practices, recognition, and rewards, and
correlates with job delight and organizational commitment.
Saha and Kumar (2007) suggest that employee involvement in planning, producing alternatives,
developing policies, and comparing results is crucial for maximum satisfaction. Successful
executives in developed countries have found that the key to success in organizations is using
employee opinions in decision-making. However, not all managers have the opportunity to
participate in decision-making groups. Many problems within organizations arise from
employees' lack of involvement.

Problem statement
Pathak and Reeta (2012) found a reliable connection between employee participation and job
satisfaction in the financial division, with satisfaction increasing with an increase in employee
participation and vice versa. Khezerloo et al. (2016) found a significant relationship between
participation in decision making and job commitment and satisfaction. Saha and Kumar (2017)
found that job satisfaction significantly correlated with participation in decision making.
However, participation in decision making had no effect on group commitment. Job satisfaction
had a positive impact on group commitment, and group learning was significantly associated
with job satisfaction and group commitment. Overall, the findings suggest that participative
decision making can lead to increased job satisfaction and commitment among employees in
organizations.

questionnaires based on a five-point Likert scale. Job satisfaction was considered a dependent
variable, while employee participation was an independent variable. Previous studies have
shown that participative decision making can lead to increased job satisfaction and commitment.

Finding and Result

Here I have stated the some of the main findings of the article in the following manner. The
main finding of this article provides organizational tool for economic transformation, with the
banking sector playing a significant role in facilitating economic growth. The geographical
spread and expansion of banking services have made the banking system an essential tool in
ordinary transactions. Although banks do not generate wealth, lending, borrowing, and related
activities facilitate production processes. Experts and creative staff are considered assets of
organizations as they provide internal ability to cope with environmental threats. The study used
regression analysis to determine the relationship between personnel participation in decision
making and job satisfaction. The results showed that employee involvement in decision making
has a positive effect on job satisfaction, with bank employees still participating on average.
Factors such as employee commitment, organizational structure, leader behavior, and the
workplace positively impact participation in decision making. The level of education did not
have a relationship with participation in decision making.

paper suggest that employee participation in selection-making is beneficial as it enhances their
identification with their organization. It is applicable to key managerial positions in public-
quarter undertakings and highlights the importance of participative decision making in enhancing
job satisfaction. The research focuses on the importance of employee commitment,

workforce today as one of the core tasks of managers.
