APPROVAL RESULTS
The product was used in the preparation of an emulsified white alkyd enamel; performance tests were carried out
for the enamel prepared by direct and intermediate emulsification. The performance tests applied to the references
(with Chempart PRO W21 and the line emulsifier) were:
- Performance tests: storage and drying stability.
- Physicochemical properties: viscosity, density, solids, coverage, gloss, whiteness and yellowness.

For all tests, the same percentage of resin and water was used. The manufacturing process was carried out in the
same dispersing equipment and under the same conditions. For the direct emulsification method, the emulsifier
was dispersed for 5 minutes before slowly adding water to the mixture and subsequently stirred for 30 minutes at
high revolutions to ensure stable emulsification. For the intermediate emulsification method, the water dispersion
was previously manufactured with resin and solvent and later the pigment paste and other additives were added.

The Chempart Pro W21 emulsifier had satisfactory results in terms of physicochemical and performance
properties. It is approved for scale-up to a plant.
