Terms and Conditions of Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd Gift Cards

Terms of Use

1.Your card will be activated with a rand amount selected by you & shown on the receipt.
A minimum of R50 and maximum of R10 000 can be loaded onto the card.

2. You can use your card at any of the retail supermarket outlets conducted by Shoprite
Checkers (Pty) Ltd.

2.You cannot draw cash from your card, and it has no cash value unless activated by a
cashier.

3. The bearer of the gift card will be deemed to be the bona fide owner of such card.

4. The Consumer Protection Act, legislates a validity period of three years for gift cards
after the last date of activation of the card and/or last top up.

5. The card cannot be used to purchase goods or services telephonically or online.

6. A balance check can be done at the nearest participating store.

7. You will not be charged any transaction fees for using the card within our retail
supermarket outlets and you will not be paid interest on funds in the card.

8. If the card is damaged, lost or stolen, you can go to the nearest store for a replacement
card with a copy of your id and an affidavit. No refunds will be granted if the card was
unlawfully used while not in your possession and you will be solely responsible for any
lost funds.

9.We may change these terms & conditions without giving you notice. Errors and
Omissions excepted. Please safeguard your card.
