 Information is the data that has been collected, processed, and interpreted in order to be
presented in a usable form. In media world, Information is often used to describe

including symbols, and including experiences. While Literacy is the understanding of a
specific subject. So, when we connect information and literacy, it simply means that
information literacy is our understanding on how to use information. There is importance
of information literacy, (1) Use the data to achieve a particular objective. (2) Access
information ethically. (3) Use the information lawfully. (4) Collect the data into one’s
learning base. (5) Make the information useful and efficient. (6) Access the data and
sources. And in literacy, there are 5 components (Identify, Find, Evaluate, Apply, and
Acknowledge). First is Identify, your purpose is to identify the kind and the nature of
information that you need and also you will identify the extend or the information that
you need. Like for example writing a thesis statement. Second is Find, find the
information, locate the information that you need in your task, like for example locating a
book in the library using its call number. Third is Evaluate, our task is an information
literate individual to assess whether the information that we have collected is factual or
not. Next is Apply, it is our task to apply in your study or in your task. And lastly is
Acknowledge, you are done applying the information or executing the task. Plagiarism is
