INSET REFLECTION

INSET (In-service Education and Training) days are a series of days, normally 5 per
academic year, during which children do not attend and staff receive CPD or are given time
to complete administrative tasks. Headteachers can be flexible in their approach to these
and are able to direct staff to complete certain tasks Critical thinking is a higher-order
thinking skill. Higher-order thinking skills go beyond basic observation of facts and
memorization. They are what we are talking about when we want our students to be
evaluative, creative and innovative.

The role of resources is to provide a source of learning experience for our learners,
assisting the process of interaction between students and teachers during the
teaching/learning process. At the same time, they help students to learn and increase their
experience, meeting different learning needs.

Also we discussed about Blooms Taxonomy , Educators can use Bloom's Taxonomy
to design learning objectives, assessments, and activities that target different levels of
cognitive skills. It provides a framework for educators to scaffold learning experiences and
promote higher-order thinking skills in students.

In-service training program helps teachers to acquire new understanding and

instructional skills to develop their effectiveness in the classroom. In- service training
places teachers at the center of any improvement effort in the educational institution.

Generally speaking, Participation in effective INSET changes teachers' knowledge,

attitudes, and beliefs and improves classroom practice and student learning
