EVALUATION OF THE COMMUNITY-BASED MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM IN

QUEZON CITY: BARRIERS AFFECTING ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

OFFERED BY BARANGAY WEST FAIRVIEW QUEZON CITY HEALTH CENTER

AMONG CLIENTS AGED 18 AND ABOVE

Research Design

The study employed a descriptive analytic technique for the research. This approach was

the most appropriate to use because the main goal of the research was to understand the

Community-Based Mental Health Program in Quezon City. The subjective nature of the issue,

the range of participant experiences, and the presentation of the results in a way that either

precisely matches or closely echoes the language used in the original research question are all

reasons why a qualitative descriptive design might be the most suitable (Bradshaw et al., 2017).

The descriptive analysis method is a strategy that helps in explaining, demonstrating, or

summarizing data points in order to discover patterns and connections by utilizing information

that is both recent and historical. This method allows for the identification of patterns and

connections. As a method of conducting research, a descriptive analysis was carried out in order

to achieve the goal of gaining an understanding of the Community-Based Mental Health

Program Barriers that Affect Access to Mental Health Services Offered by the Barangay West

Fairview Quezon City Health Center.
