Note on Requirement of additional structures for Project Road

The CD structures given in Schedule – B of the project road have been reviewed with respect to the
hydrological adequacy. The Google satellite imagery is used to identify the stream locations. The
30m SRTM data has been used for catchment delineation and accordingly the discharge has been
estimated as per provisions given in IRC:SP:13-2022. The plan & profile has also been reviewed for
additional culvert requirement.

Therefore, based on the above review methodology, following additional structures are required for
hydrologically adequate highway design;

Additional MNBs

1. 144+880 – 1x10m
2. 145+600 – 1x10m
3. 145+830 – 1x10m
4. 1+620 – 1x15m (there is railway bridge of 12m about 1.5 km u/s side)
5. 3+200 – 1x15m (there is railway bridge of 12m about 2 km u/s side)
6. 5+225 – 1x40m (there is railway bridge of 30m about 4 km u/s side)

Replacement of Culvert with MNB

1. 138+595 – 1x8.0m
2. 5+500 – 1x10m
3. 6+900 – 1x12m
4. 7+100 – 1x12m

Additional Culverts

1. 114+460 – 1x2x1.5m
2. 123+300 – 1x2x1.5m
3. 127+710 – 1x2x2.0m
4. 140+740 – 1x2x2.0m
5. 141+160 – 1x2x2.0m
6. 141+440 – 1x2x2.0m
7. 146+080 – 1x2x2.0m
8. 146+770 – 1x2x2.0m

Stream Realignment

1. 1+100 to 1+300 – top width of 12m to 15m of diversion channel.


2. 1+550 to 1+620 – top width of 12m to 15m of diversion channel.
3. 5+600 to 5+700 – top width of 8m to 10m of diversion channel.
4. 7+090 to 7+380 – top width of 10m to 12m of diversion channel.
