Aurora Oca, to our ever supportive Public Schools District Supervisor ma’am Gina C. Malupa,
our Jack of all Trades School Head sir Floro G. Alvar, my co-educators, stakeholders, parents
and visitors, Good morning.
According to Dr. Sues; “ The more that you READ, the more things you will KNOW. The more
you LEARN, the more places you’ll GO”.
As a Reading coordinator of our school, I am very blessed for everyone’s support for todays
activities which is the opening our Brigada Eskwela with the Launching of our Brigada Pabasa
together with the Brigada Matematika. Through that, it’s my pleasure to expound our
KINUPTANG PAGLAUM PROJECT a School Reading Program which means Proactive
Appraisal on the Gaps in Learning, Analyzing and Understanding through Methods-in-
Reading.
This KINUPTANG PAGLAUM Project –– Promoting a culture of reading focused on
collaboration with School partners (parents and other stakeholders in the community.)This
project has 3 pillars, which are:

❖ Project PAGLAUM means (Pagbasa Ang Gahom Laban ug Alang sa Ugmang

Malampuson) for MTB– this is for the Kindergarten to Grade 3

❖ Project PAGLAUM means (PAGgabay sa mag-aaral, LAyuning Umunlad at Masusing

mambabasa)for Filipino - this is for Grades 1 to 6

❖ Project PAGLAUM means (Promoting Adaptable and Genuine reading program for
Learning Appreciation to Uncover Meaningful education)for English - this starts from Grade
1 up to Grade 6
The main purpose of our Kinuptang Paglaum Project is to enhance the reading ability/ reading
skills of our learners. We will help the struggling and non-reader pupils of New Maug
Elementary School, to read letters, the words, into phrases, then sentences until they can make a
paragragh and we are very much happy if they can do an essay.
Because of our strong desire to address this problem, the office has formed a team that includes
School Reading Coordinators and Teachers who will focus on creating a reading program
focused on presenting the causes and methods suitable for immediate development work. which
is a collection of reading skills attached to different important stages.

We also have our Brigada Matematika, that aims to intensify the good practice in mathematics
specially the 4 basic fundamental in Mathematics, which are Multiplication, Division, Addition
and Subtraction/MDAS.
We, teachers are all in, our stakeholders and parents in supporting this project. I hope in one way
or another, we will help each other, improving and supporting our New Maug Elementary School
and of course our children, here in our school.
