4. CONSTRUCTION OF THE DEVICE
ANAKONDA high-pressure devices are hydrodynamic devices for cleaning sewage systems. They create a high-pressure water
stream by converting the mechanical energy generated by the internal combustion engine into hydrodynamic energy obtained
in a high-pressure pump.

High-pressure cleaning machines are delivered with independent combustion engines. The devices are also equipped with
reliable high-pressure pumps with ceramic pistons and stepless pressure regulating valves. The ANAKONDA series has
integrated water tanks with a capacity of 650 to 2,000 liters (configuration on request). Each device is also enriched with excess
water overflow systems and, optionally, a system that protects against "dry" operation.

These devices have a compact design and can be successfully operated by one person.

It is forbidden to transport the machine with horizontal transport devices!

It does not apply to devices in which the FACTORY frame structure has been specially designed for this
purpose.

The cleaning nozzles, which are standard equipment on high-pressure devices, allow for unlocking
and complete cleaning of pipes and channels in sewage systems. A wide range of specialized nozzles adapted to various tasks
allows for the versatile use of high-pressure devices. These machines are used, among others, for unblocking, flushing and
cleaning sewage network connections, internal pipes and sewers contaminated with grease, industrial sewage, sand, etc.

The high-pressure spray gun with lance and nozzle is an optional accessory and is used to clean wells, squares, parking lots,
building facades, walls, terraces, machines and much more.

5. PRINCIPLES OF SAFETY
Safety in the use of the device is essential. These operating instructions, and especially the safety instructions contained therein,
should be observed by all persons working with or working on the device, including service personnel. The device and the
manual contain tips and information regarding the safe use of the device and work safety. Before starting work, it is necessary
to familiarize yourself with the safety regulations and to comply with them.

All warning notices contained in these operating instructions warn and inform about potential dangers, which ultimately
prevents accidents and potential dangers for the device users and third parties. In addition, local accident prevention rules and
regulations must be followed.

In the case of vehicles with a GVM up to 3.5 t, where it is not possible to travel on public roads with full water tanks, only empty
tanks should be used and filled at the accident site. If it is not possible to draw water at the site of failure, it is permissible to fill
one water tank (depending on the tank configuration) and drive to the workplace by one driver / operator.

Before starting the device, read the operating instructions and make sure that you understand all the
recommendations contained in them.

5.1 PREVENTING INJURY

 Do not run the equipment in a confined space without adequate ventilation. The exhaust gases
contain large amounts of odorless, poisonous gas (CO - carbon monoxide) - RISK OF POISONING AND
EVEN DEATH !!!
 Do not fill the fuel tank while the engine is running - RISK OF EXPLOSION !!!
 Do not start the machine if fuel is spilled. Restarting is allowed only after removing the spilled fuel -
RISK OF FIRE !!!
 Do not start the device in the environment of oxidizing gases, paint vapors, thinners or other
flammable materials - RISK OF EXPLOSION !!!
 Do not smoke or use open fire near fuel canisters - RISK OF EXPLOSION!
 Do not touch rotating parts while the device is operating - DAMAGE TO LIMBS.
 AND LOSS OF HEALTH !!!
 Do not touch the exhaust system while the device is in operation and long after it has been turned off
with silencer - RISK OF BURN !!!
 Prolonged and frequent skin contact with used motor oil can cause skin cancer.
 In case of contact, wash the contaminated body thoroughly.

ATTENTION!
Transport of high-pressure devices with water tanks is allowed only with full or empty tanks !!!
During transport, in tanks filled with water, the so-called "ripple" phenomenon occurs due to the
movement of liquid in the tank. The forces with which the water acts on the walls of the tank, and thus
the entire device together with the chassis, may lead to the loss of control of the vehicle and its
overturning!
Therefore, it is forbidden to transport devices with tanks partially filled with water!

ATTENTION!
When transporting any tanks filled with water, the speed should be adjusted to the prevailing road and
weather conditions, taking into account the risk of "rippling" of the liquid in the tank!

 Before starting work, check the technical condition, in particular, protective covers and wire
insulation.
 When operating the device, keep children and animals in the vicinity.
 Do not place any objects on the operating device.
 Immediately turn off the device when you notice changes in the device's operation, such as automatic
change of engine speed, overheating of connected devices, sparks, smoke, flames, excessive noise or
vibrations - THIS MAY DAMAGE AND LOSE THE WARRANTY !!!

10 KanRo Ltd Sp. z o.o. – HIGH-PRESSURE DEVICES - ANAKONDA series

 Do not start or stop the device under load - THIS CAN DAMAGE THE DEVICE !!!
 Do not flood the device with operating fluids, such as fuel or oil, which do not comply with the
operating instructions. Pay particular attention to the correct amount and quality of the oil. The oil
level should be checked daily or after every 8 hours of operation, and in the event of a loss, top up
with oil of the same parameters - RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE DEVICE AND LOSS OF THE WARRANTY !!!
 Make sure that the machine is not tilted more than 20 degrees when operating or transporting it.
Greater tilt may cause fuel leakage or bad engine lubrication - THIS CAN DAMAGE !!!
 Do not use unoriginal spare parts, fuel and oils of unknown origin - RISK OF DAMAGE AND LOSS OF
WARRANTY !!!

ATTENTION
Check the oil temperature during operation. After reaching + 80˚C, stop the device and wait until the oil

9. OPERATION

9.1 START-UP
1. Fill the tank with fuel (see TECHNICAL PARAMETERS). Refueling should take place in well-ventilated rooms with the engine
turned off. Do not overfill the tank - the fuel mirror is below 2 cm from the top edge of the tank (not from the cap!). After
each refueling, check that the tank is properly closed.

Do not smoke or use open flame or spark-generating devices in the place where you refuel or where the
fuel is stored.

2. Check the engine and pump oil levels and top up if necessary. Checking the fluid level should be done with the device level.
If the level is too low, add oil to the maximum level.

Do not fill with more oil than the maximum level indication!
Only use the oils specified by the component manufacturers!
Unless otherwise specified by the device manufacturer, the oils should be changed at least once a year.

3. Check that the air filter is clean. Clean if dirty. Using a dirty air filter will result in an incorrect fuel / air ratio. This results in
uneven engine operation, which can lead to complete standstill.

It is forbidden to start the engine without the air filter installed!

4. Connecting the battery with the engine may only be performed after making sure that this operation will not result in an
uncontrolled engine starting. To prevent this, the engine fuel valve should be closed and the starter key in the "STOP / 0 /
OFF" position. The cables should be connected as follows: first connect the "+" terminal of the starter device with the "+"
pole of the battery, then connect the "ground" terminal connected with the engine body to the "-" terminal of the battery.

The battery generates explosive gases, so do not allow naked flames, cigarettes, or any spark-generating
device near the battery.
ATTENTION! Do not connect a cable with unknown polarity

5. Check the cleanliness of the water filter. Clean if dirty. The use of a dirty water filter reduces the amount of liquid supplied
to the pump. This significantly reduces the efficiency of the device. It can also cause uneven pump operation or so-called
"dry" operation, which will lead to the complete shutdown of the pump! Such damage is not subject to warranty repairs
and is tantamount to FULL LOSS OF THE WARRANTY! It is recommended that you clean the water filter each time you start
up the high pressure cleaner.

It is forbidden to run the pump without the water filter installed!

6. Check that the shut-off valve on the pressure hose is closed.

Starting the IC engine with the shut-off valve on the pressure hose in the "open" position will
automatically supply high-pressure water directly to the pressure hose. Such a situation may pose a
direct threat to the health and life of the operator or third parties in the vicinity of the device! Opening
the shut-off valve for the water supply to the pressure hose is only allowed when the cleaning nozzle is
in the channel!

16 KanRo Ltd Sp. z o.o. – HIGH-PRESSURE DEVICES - ANAKONDA series

7. Check that the shut-off valve upstream of the water filter is open.

Starting the engine automatically starts the high-pressure pump. Cutting off the water supply in front
of the water filter and starting the device will result in "dry" operation and will lead to permanent
damage to the water pump and TOTAL LOSS OF THE WARRANTY!

8. Fill the water tank through the filler opening at the top of the tank. Optionally, for machines equipped with a filling hose,
connect the end of the filling hose to the water supply. Then open the shut-off valve on the filling hose and start filling the
tank with water.

It is not recommended to transport the water long distances. The optimal solution is to fill the water
tank at the point of failure with a filling hose after securing the chassis against tilting.

9. Release the pressure-regulating valve on the pressure hose to the "zero / open" position..

Increasing the pressure of the water supplied to the pressure hose is allowed only after the combustion
engine has stabilized. Starting the device with a given pressure (pressure regulating valve in a position
other than "zero / open") will cause the so-called "cold start" of the pump under additional load, which
may lead to permanent damage to the engine-pump system. Mechanical damage of this type is not
subject to warranty repairs and is tantamount to loss of warranty.

10. Provide the high-pressure hose with a suitable working tool - cleaning nozzles, high-pressure gun, etc. For example, a
cleaning nozzles with a remote control should be used to remove blockages in the pipes. Then, after removing the blockage,
insert the blank cleaning nozzle to thoroughly clean the canal. Cleaning of surfaces such as wells, squares, parking lots,
building facades, walls, terraces, etc. should be done with a high-pressure gun.

The technical parameters of the working tools must correspond to the pressure and water volume
generated by the high-pressure device. For safety reasons, only the equipment that is suitable for a
given high-pressure device model should be used.
In case of any doubts as to the selection of working nozzles, please contact the KanRo Ltd® sales or
service department.

KanRo Ltd Sp. z o.o. – HIGH-PRESSURE DEVICES - ANAKONDA series 17

9.2 STARTING THE ENGINE
ELECTRICAL START
• put the key into the ignition and set it to the "1" or "ON" position;
• turn the key to the "START" position;
• after starting the engine, release the key which automatically returns to the "1" or "ON" position;

The starter should not work for more than 5 seconds - there is a risk of damage to the starter. Wait 10
seconds between starting attempts.
Never start the engine when it is running or not completely stopped - there is a risk of damaging the
starter.

9.3 EMERGENCY STOP

 Devices equipped with an emergency safety switch - switching off the high-pressure device with the "STOP" safety switch
causes an immediate stop of the engine and all moving parts.

The emergency stop switch can only be used when there is a risk to people, animals, devices or the
environment. Do not use as a switch of the device during normal operation!

Normal operation may be resumed after the "STOP" control has been returned to its initial state and reset. Resetting the device
is possible only by manually acting on the control element, but resetting itself will not restart the device.

 Devices not equipped with an emergency safety switch - in emergency situations requiring an emergency stop of the
device, turn the ignition switch of the combustion engine to the "0" / "OFF" position. This will automatically stop all high-
pressure systems from operating.

9.4 HYDRAULIC REEL DRIVE

Attention:
The high-pressure hose should only be wound under pressure to avoid damage to the reel. If the
water tank is almost empty, make sure the hose is unrolled before the pressure is released.

The high pressure hose can be rolled up or unwound by pressing the appropriate button on the control panel or on
the remote control (optional). The winding or unwinding speeds are set using the speed regulator of the hydraulic
reel.

After switching off the hydraulic drive, the hose can be unwound manually.

Attention!
Operate the winding or unwinding with one hand, and with the other hand, pull the high-pressure
hose to the place where it is to be inserted.

18 KanRo Ltd Sp. z o.o. – HIGH-PRESSURE DEVICES - ANAKONDA series

10. OPERATION OF THE DEVICE
10.1 REMOVING BLOCKS IN PIPES
1. Attach the end of the high pressure hose with a suitable cleaning nozzle;
2. Start the engine and wait until the device operation stabilizes;
3. Insert the end of the pressure hose with the cleaning nozzle into the pipe inlet to a minimum depth of 1 m!

The use of the hydraulic system for winding and unwinding the high-pressure hose is possible only after
the engine has been started.

4. Open the pressure ball valve;

5. Increase the engine speed - reaching the maximum water pressure is possible only at the maximum engine speed setting.
6. Set the required working pressure with the knob on the pressure regulator.

When the pressure is reached, the pressure hose is automatically drawn into the pipeline.

7. After clearing the blockage, clean the canal completely using a suitable cleaning nozzle - repeat steps 1 to 6.
ATTENTION! To change the cleaning nozzle or turn on the machine, use:
a. reduce the operating pressure with the regulator knob,
b. retract the pressure hose completely from the tubing,
c. reduce engine speed,
d. close the pressure ball valve.

Changing the cleaning nozzle is allowed only after making sure that the working pressure in the high
pressure hose has dropped to 0.

It is recommended to use guide rollers to avoid mechanical damage to the high pressure hose - e.g.
chafing and / or cuts at the edges of manholes.

KanRo Ltd Sp. z o.o. – HIGH-PRESSURE DEVICES - ANAKONDA series 19

10.2 WORKING DURING FROSTS

Seasonally, in periods when the temperature drops below 0⁰C, high-pressure devices are exposed to
permanent mechanical damage resulting from the freezing of water remaining in the machine's
systems. Such damage is not covered by the warranty!

In winter, in order to avoid the above-mentioned damage, follow the procedures belowr:

Safe storage of high-pressure devices at ambient temperatures below 0⁰C:

1. Empty the water tank completely - open the drain valve;

2. Drain the water filter completely - unscrew it as for cleaning;
3. Close the drain valve and screw on the water filter;
4. Pour 10 liters of antifreeze into the reservoir;
5. Start the internal combustion engine at low revs - it is forbidden to put on cleaning nozzles;
6. Set the pressure regulator to the minimum value;
7. Open the pressure ball valve on the operating hose;
8. Pump out the water from the high pressure pump and the working hose (close the ball valve when antifreeze appears at
the end of the hose);
9. Let the engine run until the antifreeze has filled all the system hoses;
10. For devices optionally equipped with a filling hose:
a. connect the pressure hose with the filling hose using a special coupling;
b. open the valve on the high pressure hose and pump the anti-freeze into the filling hose;
11. Stop the engine.

Before starting work with the high-pressure appliance, repeat the above-mentioned activities in order
to remove the anti-freeze from the system. This fluid, as long as it does not contain water, can be
reused to protect the high-pressure device from low temperatures.

Safe departure for operation of high-pressure devices at ambient temperatures down to -10⁰C:

1. Fill the tanks completely with water;

2. Connect the end of the pressure hose to the connection of the winter circuit;
3. Start the combustion engine at low speed;
4. On the control panel, turn on the pressure pump (the ball valve on the operating hose opens automatically);
5. Increase the engine speed slightly and set the operating pressure to approx. 10 bar;
6. Leave the engine running until reaching the point of failure, which will allow for a closed circulation of water in the
system: tank - pump - pressure hose - tank;
7. Start work leaving the engine running;
8. After finishing work, repeat steps 2 and 3, in the event of emptying the pressure tank, press the low water button. Start
the pressure pump to force the water to circulate again.

In sub-zero temperatures, it is only recommended to remove sewage system failures. Comprehensive

cleaning of the network should be performed at positive ambient temperatures.

For operation in conditions below 0˚C, it is good to equip the device with the optional WEBASTO system.

When using the winter circuit, the minimum water level in the tank must be maintained (low water
level).

20 KanRo Ltd Sp. z o.o. – HIGH-PRESSURE DEVICES - ANAKONDA series

In winter conditions, it is recommended to fill the water at the point of failure.

These activities can only be performed when leaving the heated garage.

Safe departure to work of high-pressure devices at an ambient temperature below -10⁰C with WEBASTO turned
on:

For operation in temperatures below -10˚C, the device must be equipped with the optional Webasto
type system

1. Start the WEBASTO device

2. Fill the tanks completely with water;
3. Connect the end of the pressure hose to the connection of the winter circuit;
4. Start the combustion engine at low speed;
5. On the control panel, turn on the pressure pump (the ball valve on the working hose opens automatically);
6. Increase the engine speed slightly and set the operating pressure to approx. 10 bar;

13. PUMP - SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE

POS. Description of an exemplary pump

1 Head bolt
2 Valve cap
3 Inlet cap
4 Outlet cap
5 Bearing flange bolts
6 Rear cover screws
7 Connecting rod bolts
8 Piston screws
9 Valve cover bolts
10 Oil drain plug

13.1 PURPOSE
Piston pumps are designed for use in machines or systems for conveying water under pressure, such as: vehicle washing, civil and
industrial washing, etc.
The working environment must be at the following temperatures: min. 0 ° C (32 ° F) - max. 45 ° C (113 ° F).
The pump must not be submerged in any liquid.

13.2 PROHIBITED USE

The specifications of the liquid used are detailed in this document: do not use for different liquids, in particular the pumps must
NOT be used under the following conditions:
 in the presence of water with a high salt content, such as sea water; the stainless steel pump series is recommended for
this type of application.
 in corrosive or explosive workplaces.
 in the presence of any fluid that is incompatible with the material of construction of the pump.
 for pumping paint, solvents, fuel and any flammable liquids (not suitable for ATEX environment).
 for food.
 for washing people, animals, electrical and electronic equipment.

13.3 GENERAL WARNINGS

 Never run the pump under pressure.
 The wear of pipes and related fittings, especially those under pressure, should be constantly
checked. Tubes showing signs of abrasion or which do not guarantee a perfect seal should be
replaced.
 The pump must never run dry or without fluid when in use.

• Protect rotating parts with a cover to prevent contact.

• The pump is designed to be integrated into a machine or system, with different power systems
that can create different noise levels, even to a significant degree. The manufacturer of such a
machine or system assesses the noise level of the assembled machine or system and informs
the user accordingly, also in relation to the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.

13.4 PRZD BEFORE STARTING

KanRo Ltd Sp. z o.o. – HIGH-PRESSURE DEVICES - ANAKONDA series 27

13.4.1 LIQUID LIQUIDS
The pump is designed and manufactured to transfer clean liquids or non-aggressive aqueous solutions. The drawn-in liquid must
be free of sand or other suspended solids. The liquid used should have a viscosity and density similar to water, supplied to the
pump through a special purifying filter. The maximum temperature of the pumped liquid varies according to the system conditions
(INLET CONDITIONS). All other uses are not permitted unless authorized in writing.

13.4.2 POWER SUPPLY AND PRESSURE SYSTEM OF THE PUMP

The feed system for the liquid that needs to be pumped is usually located at the bottom of the pump head and may also be called
a suction port or a feed port. The pressure (discharge) system for the pumped liquid is usually at the top of the head and may also
be called a delivery port.
The inlet and outlet ports can be used on the right or left side of the pump head by removing or reversing the sealing plugs.

The inlet and outlet CANNOT be reversed.

13.4.3 TERMS OF USE

Detailed conditions of use of the pump are given in the dedicated instruction manual.

13.4.4 POWER CONDITIONS

Make sure that the feed line and all accessories are properly connected, secured, hermetically sealed and properly sized. All
pressurized pipes must be permanently marked with the maximum allowable pressure, which must never be less than the
maximum working pressure of the pump stated on the label.

13.4.5 PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE

A pressure regulating valve must be installed to prevent the maximum limit value indicated on the pump nameplate from being
exceeded.

Use, even for a short time, at a pressure above this limit would damage the pump itself.

The control valve must conform to the pressure, flow and temperature maximum values stated on the
label and under "INLET CONDITIONS".

Incorrect installation of the pressure regulator valve can cause serious personal injury and property
damage and can seriously damage your current Pump.
The circuit must be equipped with a different safety valve to prevent exceeding the maximum
pressure in the event of an anomaly in the pressure regulator valve.

13.4.6 HEAD
A damaged head can cause a pressure drop; in this case, do not adjust the pressure regulator valve to increase the pressure in the
system, as when the supply line is closed, the pressure will increase and the pump may be damaged. If the pressure drops, it is
recommended to replace the nozzle and readjust the system pressure. The pump flow rate must be at least 10% higher than the
flow rate required by the media; the excess flow rate must be discharged.

13.4.7 MANOMETER
Install a pressure gauge as close as possible to the pump outlet as the maximum pressure stated on the pump label refers to the
pressure detected on the pump head and not on the pump head or other accessories.

28 KanRo Ltd Sp. z o.o. – HIGH-PRESSURE DEVICES - ANAKONDA series

All components of the machine or circuit must meet the technical specifications stated on the pump
label.

13.5 MAINTENANCE
13.5.1 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
If the pump is used for light duty, the following routine maintenance is recommended:
 after the first 50 hours: oil change (see Lubrication section);
 every 500 hours: oil change (see section Lubrication);
 every 1000 hours: replace valves - replace piston sealing rings.
Carry out maintenance more frequently for heavy tasks.

13.5.2 LUBRICATION
The pump is delivered with the correct quantity of lubricating oil (see table). Periodically check the oil level in the pump with the
oil dipstick. Use OIL type SAE 15W-40 or equivalent. Here are some recommended types of oil:
• AGIP F 1 SUPERMOTOROIL 15W-40
• BP VANELLUS C 15W-40
• CASTROL GTX 15W40
• ESSO UNIFILO 15W-40
• MOBIL SUPER M 15W-40
• SHEL RIMULAR4 15W40/HELIX SUPER15W40
• TOTAL RUBIA15W40 / QUARTZ5000 15W40

The oil must be changed by emptying it through the dedicated bottom oil drain plug and with the pump stopped.
Every time you unscrew the drain plug, we suggest replacing its gasket.

DO NOT RUN THE PUMP IF THERE IS NO OIL IN THE PUMP!

During maintenance it is recommended:

• Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (ie gloves).
• Wait for the device to cool down and stop completely.

During maintenance, do not throw the residues outside, but follow current standards.

If the pump is to be scrapped:

1. separate the different parts according to their type (i.e. plastic, harmful liquids,
metal, etc.);
2. use public or private waste disposal systems provided for by local law for waste
disposal;
3. this device may contain harmful substances: misuse or improper disposal;
4. may have a negative impact on human health and the environment.
