Cows are dear to Krishna that’s why devotees

love cows. If we please cows, we please
Krishna; therefore serving cows is limbs of
Bhakti. The most attractive past time, the most
beautiful sight is Krishna leaving and coming
back from pasture grounds. Krishna wants
cow’s comforts than His own as we see when
Krishna asks to Yasoda to make available
shoes to the cows. In the Govardhan Lila,
when Lord was unhappy with Indra, Brahma
told to Indra, bring Surabhi cow in front of
Lord, when you go for asking forgiveness.
Krishna shows by personal example how to
serve and love cows. Just by scratching or
when we offer any service to the cows
volumes of sins are removed.

Whenever you come to Vrindavan, please visit

goshala, feed ladoos to the cows, offer grass to the
cows and offer dandavat to the cows.

Reviews: I have only heard about the famed Gaushala of Lord Krishna. I might not have existed at that
point of time but the Gaushala at ISKCON Vrindavan for sure is the closest replica of Nanda's
Gaushala.The very sight of healthy and well fed cows make me remind of Govinda and triggers and
instant connection with Him.Any form of association with this Gauhsala indeed makes you feel closer to
Lord Krishna.My deepest gratitude and highest level of appreciation to the entire team at ISKCON

This year july,we were in vrindavan and I took my mother,she is very old.we had gone to goshala.we
requested the goshala manager,his name is Pran Govind Das to do go- puja. he was very kind and helpful.
he arranged and organised the go-puja for us. we were really blessed with the event. he did it very nicely.
i promised Pran Govind Das that i will save laxmi for go-seva. we spoke for more than an hour,he was
telling us about his future plans for go-shala.he told us that he is concerned for sick cows and he wish to
build a shelter for sick cows.we were touched when he said that sometimes crows or other insect bite the
wounded part of cow. he also has desire to open a clinic. since we came back from india,we have been
saving laxmi for vrindavan cows. Thank you prabhu,for all your seva and dedication for mother cow.
keep up with good work. please pray for us.

give milk and that milk is used in the service of Deities -Sri Sri Krishna-
Balaram,Sri Sri Radhe ShyamSunder , Sri Sri Gaur Nitai...,
If you have desire to serve Cows in Vrindavan, you can choose a cow and her
calf in our ISKCON,Vrindavan Goshala and give Laxmi for maintaining that
Cow and her calf .....From your behalf we shall be maintaining Your Cow and
her calf..and whatever milk that cow will give, we shall use in the service of
Sri Sri Krishna-Balaram and devotees....it is actually a very good service to
Lord, as you will helping us to maintain Cows of Lord in Vrindavan.

Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.14.34 Purport

The Lord is the protector of

cows and the brahminical
culture. A society devoid of
cow protection and
brahminical culture is not
under the direct protection of
the Lord, just as the prisoners
in the jails are not under the
protection of the king but
under the protection of a
severe agent of the king.
Without cow protection and
cultivation of the brahminical
qualities in human society, at
least for a section of the
members of society, no human
civilization can prosper at any
length.
