ORDER

Sub: Procurement of single phase distribution transformers

by the consumer/ applicant for the electricity
connections of Telecom tower Infrastructure.

As per RERC (Supply Code & Connected Matters) Regulation-

2021 (First Amendment) issued by RERC, for installation of Mobile Towers,
single phase LT supply is allowed for connected load above 5 KW and up to
20 KW. Accordingly a large number of telecom service providers are
applying for new electricity connection! load extension for Mobile Tower
sites for connected load up to 20 KW, therefore requirement of single phase
distribution transformers have been increased abruptly, but due to non-
availability of single phase transformers of the capacity 25 KVA in Nigam's
store, large number of new electricity connections/ load extension cases are
pending resulting in revenue loss to Nigam.
In order to expedite release of connections of such high value
consumers, it is decided to allow applicants of Mobile Tower connections to
purchase 25 KVA single phase transformers at their own subject to following
conditions:
(1) The consumer/ applicant shall purchase the single phase
transformer from Nigam's current supplier firms who have valid
type test report and valid BIS license of offered rating.
(2) Before Installation of such single phase transformers, testing of
transformers in Nigam's Central Testing Laboratory (CTL) shall

(3) The consumer! applicant may purchase transformers in lot of not

less than 20 Nos.
(4) JdVVNL may conduct Pre Dispatch Inspection (PDI) at
manufacturer's premises for which the inspection charges as per
Nigam's norms shall be borne by the consumer! applicant. For
this consumer has to apply in office of SE (I&S), JdVVNL,
Jodhpur.
All concerned are directed to make strict compliance of above
directions.
