“Meeting” Vocabulary

ROLE PLAY:
Scene: Office meeting.

Jerry: Now that we're all here, let's get the ball rolling.

James: Yes, let’s begin.

Jerry: I, the Chairman, would like to welcome you all to this brief meeting. As indicated in the minutes
from our last meeting, we have decided to change the company's name to Starz Inc. The matters arising
on the agenda for today's meeting will be to gather your feedback towards the change and to discuss
some other issues that needs to be addressed. So tell me, how do you feel about the company’s new
name?

James: I strongly believe it's a good decision since the title fits perfectly with our Motto "Shine Bright".

Lola: Ahhh, I second James on that. I think this is the game plan towards getting our customers to really
recognize us amidst all the other light bulb companies.

Jerry: Correct, that’s what we’re really hoping for. Now, let’s address another matter at hand. Our
annual town fair is just around the corner and we need to vote on who will spearhead the operation.
The display of our bulbs has to be extraordinary. Voting will commence on Friday, 22nd April at 2pm. Do
we have any objections to this date?
Lola: No Sir!

James: Not at all, Sir!

Jerry: Great! Let us conclude today’s meeting. I want to thank you all for your continuous support and
hard work.
