I Love the Market
Grace U. Rabelas

Today I will visit the old market

Buy some goods and fill my basket
Such as tomatoes, potatoes, and a kilo of meat
For the soup and stew that I love to eat.

I would care for some apples and bananas, too,

Peanuts, rice, and corn, a kilo of them will do
Then a bottle of vinegar and a jar of spices.
Cabbage, lettuce, vegetables of all sorts and sizes.
