Q. 20 Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow.
Once a poor couple had a son. After a few years, the mother of the child died. The father worked hard
day and night to give the best food and clothing to his only son. He earned a lot of money and provided
the best schooling and college education to his son.
Years passed by and the boy grew up into a handsome young man. He had no bad habits and was very
well behaved. But in his heart, he felt ashamed of his old and poor father who had lived in a village.
Soon, the young man married a beautiful city girl from a very wealthy family. As there was no one to
look after the old father, his poor father moved into their city mansion. But, as the young man was
ashamed of his father, he gave him a shed in the backyard to live in. He gave him some old clothes to
wear. He never went to meet his father. The servants used to give some leftovers to him for lunch and
dinner.
