14 Causes of troubles and corrective steps

! WARNING

Before performing opening checks, confirm that the SELFJECTOR has stopped completely.
Whether the SELFJECTOR has come to a stop can be checked by watching the safety joint
section at the horizontal shaft gear pump side or the fan of the motor.
If the Discharge Monitor is provided, the stop of the SELFJECTOR can be known as well from the
illumination of LED (green) on top of the Multi-Monitor.

! CAUTION

When an alarm occurs, perform checks and remove the cause of the alarm before re-starting the
machine.

Oil leakage
When the SELFJECTOR fails to operation and causes either of the following phenomena, it regards
the phenomenon as "Oil leakage" and outputs an alarm.
(1) The treatment liquid (oil) flows out from the heavy liquid side.
(2) The treatment liquid (oil) flows out form the sludge outlet because of insufficient sealing of the
main cylinder of the bowl.

Poor discharging sludge

Despite that the "discharge sludge" procedures were performed, no sludge has been actually
discharged. The SELFJECTOR regards it as a No opening bowl and outputs an alarm.

Abnormal water detection

The HIDENS (HSH-1 specification) version provided with circulation line and pressure sensor
produces a "WATER ABNORMALLY COLLECTED" signal in the case where a certain quantity of
separated water is frequently collected in the bowl with repeated issue of a discharge command.

14.1.4.1 Pressure sensor for oil inlet

During the power supply of the Multi-Monitor is ON, when the signal voltage from the pressure sensor
for oil inlet becomes following phenomenon, an error (LM error ) is output.
In case that excessive pressure (more than 0.5MPa) was input by Pressure sensor.
In case that underestimated pressure (less than -63kPa) is input by Pressure sensor.
In case that the line was disconnected, or bad connection of Pressure sensor
In case of breakdown of Pressure sensor

Fig. 14-6

The error LED [Err] of the Multi-Monitor is displayed on the upper 7 segment LED, and on the middle
LED, the number which shows what sensor is abnormal. (Fig. 14-6, Table 14-2)

Turn off the power supply of Multi-Monitor in the state of previous section, and turn on again, each
display will be re-started if the pressure signal returns to normal range.

In case that breakdown of a sensor, disconnection of lines, or negative pressure (-63kPa or less),
display and function of each sensor cannot be used even after turning off and on, but operation is
possible. In this case, display of 7 segment LED shows [----]. (Fig. 14-7, Table 14-2)

When temperature sensor becomes disconnected, the lower display of 7 segment LED shows [----] at
the timing of displaying the feed liquid temperature. In this case, feed liquid temperature is not
functioned to display and for feed liquid fluctuant detecting function (temperature fluctuation), but
operation is possible.

When treating temperature is 1 or less than that, [Lo] is displayed, and 130 or more than this,
[Hi] is displayed. (Fig. 14-8)

As a Self-diagnostic function, the LED (red), abnormal rotary display is lighted on the upper
Multi-Monitor in the following case.
In case that rotary number of SELFJECTOR is 2500rpm or more (Breakdown of circuit, etc.)
In case of destabilization of input signal to the proximity switch. (False installing of proximity
switch, etc.)
After adjusting the installing position of proximity switch to the normal position, and input signal is
stabilized, this LED will be light off. Alarm is not output by this LED lighting.
