A Semi-Detailed Lesson In
Technology and Livelihood Education
(Handicraft 7)
I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:
1. identify the basic quilling shapes and;
2. perform technique in making the basic shapes; and
3. appreciate the importance of paper quilling as an art as source of income.
Subject Integration:
Arts- showcasing their creativity in making quilling designs.
English – medium of instruction
Filipino – used as mother tongue in unlocking of difficulties.
Math- used in review.
Science- inculcating recycling as a means to lessen waste and help save our environment.
III. PROCEDURE:
A. Preparatory Activities
1. Routine Activities:
Greetings, Checking of Attendance, and House Rules
Listen attentively while the teacher is having a discussion.
Avoid doing unnecessary things! Please remain focus.
Maintain respect in both speaking and writing.
Take down important notes.
4. Unlocking of Difficulties
Coils-(PULUPOT) arranged in a spiral or sequence of rings.
Variation-(PAGKAKAIBA-IBA) a different or distinct form or version of something.
B. Lesson Proper:
1. Show pictures of the 6 basic coils
2. Explain the techniques in making the basic coils.
3. Discuss how paper quilling as a method in recycling paper be a source of income.
C. Closing Activities
1. Generalization (POCKET OF KNOWLEDGE)
Let the students assess their learnings by answering the following questions.
- What are the 6 basic quilling shapes?
- How do you make a good and marketable paper quilling craft?
- How can paper quilling contribute to our economy as a means of livelihood?
3. Application (ALPHA-QUILL)
Group Activity The class will be divided into five groups. Each group will be designing the
designated letter in the alphabet using the basic quilling shapes. After the activity, they will
present it in front of the class.
