WICE – ANNUAL REPORT 2016 – 2017

Esteemed guest of the day, Ms/Ms……………….. Managing director of WICE, Dr. Francis
Xavier and the correspondent of Montfort Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Reverent brother Louis
Alex and the special invitees, well wishers, teaching and non teaching staffs and my dear
friends.

It’s happy to say that today Montfort is celebrating its – WICE – English day. I’m
privileged to undertake the pleasant duty of presenting the WICE report of all the activities
undertaken during this academic year 2016 – 2017.

WICE Motto is “Born to win” has a powerful message to everyone. Their

commitment is to ensure the holistic development of students’ fluency and knowledge in
English. They also provided and providing equal importance to discipline, leadership skills
and innovative skills of students.

On a fantastic day in the month of August, dated on 1 st WICE stepped into the
premises of Montfort Matric. Hr. Sec. School, for the academic year 2016 – 2017. The
school management showered a warm welcome to the team with heartfelt greetings of joy.

Ms. D. Yamini as a school incharge started her service.

WICE had recapitulated all the basic structure of the language in the month of
August. The class was divided into four groups and the group leaders was selected. The
students was actuated to prepare score boards which offered the advantage of enhancing
the students’ competitiveness and involvement in the class.

WICE Notice board was introduced. WICE notice board was used to exhibit the
students articles which transformed. The students’ ideas into colourful are works. The
students was enriched with new vocabularies each day to acquire knowledge and it also
unprovoked their communication.

WICE selected wise stars of WICE and etc., badges was distributed in the month end.
WICE prefects meeting was conducted to enlighten the students with suggestions and
instructions to maintain the rule of language.

The best group among all the classes was selected and the rolling trophy was
bestowed to the students and the aroused the ambitious spirit among the students.

To ensure the language commitment around the campus, the facilitatior interacted
with students during tree time.
 Listening skill assessment was carried out to make the students understand their
proficiency in English and enhanced their listening skills.

WICE educated the students with situational language which nourished the students
to converse with people in different situations.

All the programmes conducted by WICE aided the students for learning English in an
authentic context and fostered the natural development of students skills. Students also
became curious and eager to participate in all WICE activities. The students started to put
up their effort to improvise their communicative skills and the usage of English language.

Ms. D.Yamini, the school incharge (Wice team) take this opportunity to express her
deep sense of gratitude to WICE management for the steady on going support. She is
privileged and thankful to the school management for their continuous support and co-
operation which enabled her to move forward with confidence.

Last but not the least, she extends her heartfelt thanks to all the teaching and non
teaching staffs and the students of Montfort Matric. Hr. Sec. School, for their dedicated
service, which is a key to all our success and achievements.

May god almighty bless each one of us and help us in translating our dreams as the
WICE motto directs “WICE – the makers of winners ever”.
