Greenrich communica on with Growa (SPF 5000 ES, SPF 5000TL HVM - P, SPF 5000TL HVM WPV –
P)

Connect the ba ery terminals securely from your ba eries to the inverter. Posi ve (+) from your
ba ery to posi ve (+) terminal on your inverter, nega ve(-) from your ba ery to nega ve terminal (-)
on your inverter.

If you are using two or more ba eries, connect the posi ve (+) of the first ba ery to the posi ve (+)
of the following ba ery, similarly, connect the nega ve (-) of the first ba ery to the nega ve (-) of
the second ba ery. When connec ng your ba ery to the inverter connect your red (+) cable to the
posi ve terminal of the first ba ery and your black (-) cable to the nega ve terminal of your last
ba ery. Remember to connect the communica on cable between your ba eries.

For communica on between inverter and ba ery BMS see below cable configura on.

Use pins 1 & 2 for RS485 on the inverter. Connect the communica on cable on the RS485 PORT on
the ba ery (next to the CAN port) to the inverter BMS/RS485 port.

Use pins 4 & 5 for CAN on the inverter. Connect the communica on cable on the CAN PORT on the
ba ery to the inverters BMS/CAN port.

LCD SETTING ON THE INVERTER

First, turn on the ba ery and do all se ngs on the inverter BEFORE switching on AC INPUT and PV
INPUT.
On the inverter, press and hold the ENTER bu on un l a 2-digit number on the right starts flashing.
Once flashing use the UP or DOWN arrows to go through the se ngs. For ba ery setup go to se ng
05.

Set the ba ery type as ‘Li’ in se ng 05. A er selec ng ‘LI’, press the ENTER bu on, and you will be
directed to se ng 036 where you will be required to input the communica on protocol. Enter
protocol 02, then press ENTER un l you see 036 flashing. Press ESC to go back to the main screen.

To verify that your inverter is communica ng with your ba ery, your inverter se ngs 12, 13 and 21
will display percentage values.
