ANAQUENA CU –MO

A Cu-Mo porphyry system

ANAQUENA PROJECT OVERVIEW
Location
The project is located 52 km southwest of the porphyries of Cobre Escondida and Zaldívar
Mining property
1,600 ha
Geology
Sericitic quartz alteration of 0.5 x 1km elongated in the EW direction, associated with dacitic porphyry, surrounded by an argillic
halo. Leached jarositic capping associated with quartz veins. Impregnation of copper oxides (chrysocolla and malachite) in fractures.
Geochemistry
33 geochemical rock samples (chip) and 16 soil samples Intense Cu and Mo anomaly of 900 x 600 meters
Geophysics
Aerial magnetometry performed by Sernageomín shows that Anaquena is located in a large low magnetic zone
Geochronology
U-Pb 279.8 + 0.6 Ma as age crystallization of rock (BHP)
K-Ar in sericite 283 ±6.4 Ma (Freeport).
Drilling
The project has been drilled by 4 companies, none of them drilled under the Sericite Quartz zone
Chuquicamata119 m in 2 holes (1975)
Utah 658 m in 4 holes (1981)
Angloamerican 472 m in 3 holes (1991)
Freeport 1618 m in 4 holes (2016)
Copper grades in the sericite quartz zone are between 0.1% and 0.33% Cu

2
Geographical - geological location

Anaquena is located in the II Region of Antofagasta distant in a straight line from the
city of Antofagasta 170Km to the SE and 150Km to the NE of the City of Taltal; in the
Commune of Antofagasta, in the sector called Sierra de Varas, in the mountain range
that borders the western margin of the Salar de Punta Negra.

The project is located metallogenetically in a sector with first-class mining: 55 km to the

NE is the "Escondida Mine" (Cu - Au).
It is located mainly in sedimentites belonging to the Sierra de Varas Formation (FSV),
of Pennsylvanian to Permian age?

The Anaquena concessions are located within the tectonic range of the Domeyko Fault
System, along which important porphyry copper deposits of northern Chile have been
located, such as Escondida and Zaldívar, located about 52 km to the NNE.

3
Mining Property
The project is protected by 5 properties totaling 1,600 hectares

Geology
• Intrusive complex, which intrudes a
sequence of stratigraphic rocks.
Both units are intruded by an
extensive porphyry body of
monzonitic-tonalitic composition.
• A pair of fresh dikes, of moderate
diorite magnetic composition, with
chlorite±epidote alteration, cross
the altered zone. These dikes seem
to follow the preferential structural
pattern within recognized area The
box rock in the area are
equigranular to crowded porphyry
tonalites, which are also part of the
quartz-sericite-clay alteration zone
and outward vary to weak silica-
chlorite±epidote.
• On the margin there is a large post-
mineral coverage of colluvial
material and gravel; above these
you can see the Tonalite crowded
with the occurrence of a body of
porphyry dacite of 200 x 200m with
alteration silice-clays mainly, with a
weak leached capping (jarosite)

Alteration
• Zone of Quartz sericite alteration occupies an approximate area of 0.5 x 1km elongated in the EW direction, is associated with
small outcrops of dacitic porphyries and a swarm of veins of milky and oquerous quartz, from different directions and whose
outcrops have abundant limonites (FeOx); The mentioned area presents a strong leached capping with jarosite, by leaching of
pyrite and lower amounts of chalcopyrite, both minerals associated with quartz veins.
• The dominant alteration is philic in the center, associated with dacitic porphyry (feldspathic?), (covers over 80% of area) and
further outside by a discrete halo of propilitic alteration with low pyrite contents.
• In the central zone of the altered area there is evidence of penetrative sericitic alteration.
• Holes drilled by Freeport did not go bellow the quartz sericite alteration

Surface Geochemistry - Drilling
• The most important evidence of surface mineralization are traces of copper oxides, especially turquoise>chrysocolla, which
occurs in patinas deposited on the surface of dacitic porphyry fractures or associated with cavities of quartz veins. In these last
structures have been located small "boxworks" of sulfides, likewise it was possible to recognize the occurrence of black oxides of
copper (neotocite) in fractures and veins.
• In the diorite dam, a strong impregnation of green copper oxides (chrysocolla and malachite) is observed in fractures; the dike
has an approximate power of two meters and crosses the area, in the general direction EW, cutting the other rocks.
• Geochemical samples with more than 500 ppm Cu in surface (in the quartz sericite zone)
• Holes drilled by Freeport are located in quartz sericite zone

BREAKING PARADIGMAS
The alteration and mineralization observed in Antaquena is very old
No important porphyry copper has been detected before in that old belt
The information collected by other companies in Antaquena shows:
• Hydrothermal alteration, principally quatz sricite
• Copper and Molibdenum mineralization is detected in Surface and drillholes

Other 2 prospects were detected in the same belt

• Abundia by Anastasia Gold: a lithocap with Au, Cu, Mo
• Varas by Codelco

In our opinión it is necessary to drill under the serecitic alteration to probe the system
There are 2 possibilities:
• It is an old system with not ecconomic Cu – Mo – Au values
• It is a new Discovery, a old porphyry belt which is going to open other belt for explorers
