We will be reading books that focus

on Exploring New Things.
Our unit essential question is: Why do
people try new things? We will be learning about Persuasive Writing.

Our focus will be on writing good reasons
why someone should take our
recommendation. We will start by making
lists of things we are interested in having
other people try. (Ex: getting a pet, going to
a new place, watching a movie, trying a new
food).

Math Social Science- Black History

In math we will begin an introduction to

subtraction. Students work to compare
numbers using the vocabulary fewer than. We will be working on our projects for the
