General Examination Instructions for Students

 Check the exam timetable carefully. Make sure you know the day, time and location of
your exams.
 Bring your Student ID card, completed registration course form and financial clearance.
You will not be allowed into the exam hall without these.
 Do not bring any gadgets/unauthorized materials (e.g mobile phones, laptops, smart
watches, written notes) to the exam hall. These will be checked and confiscated.
 Ensure you bring your calculator (as required) and spare pens. You will not be allowed
to borrow any of these.
 Ensure you use the restroom before arriving for your exam as you will not be permitted to
leave during the first hour.
 Arrive at least 30 minutes before the exam is due to commence.
 Listen carefully to instructions. Students are required to comply with the instructions of
invigilators at all times. For example, if you are asked to sit in a designated place, then
you must do so and you must not move.
 Do not turn over exam papers until you are told to do so.
 Everything you write (including any notes and rough work) must be in the answer
booklet. Do not write large bold letters, numbers or equivalent marks on the question
paper. You are only permitted to write your matric number on your question paper.
 Keep your eyes on your own paper, remember, copying is cheating!
 If you are caught cheating or showing unruly behavior during the exam, you will be
penalized severely.
