TIME LOG

The attached Time Log is a useful tool for analysing how you spend
your time.

It is most useful if you fill it in during the day, as you work. Do not
wait until the end of the day and reflect back on what you think you
did. If you do you are likely to generalise the time spent on activities
and forget the small amount of time spent waiting/talking/spinning
things out etc!

Be honest and accurate when you complete the Time Log. Record
your actions in 30 minute blocks. If you are in a
meeting/lecture/seminar for three hours, you could just record it as a
three hour meeting, and complete the form at the end of the meeting,
or you could analyse the time spent in the meeting and note down
how much of it was relevant to you; how much time you spent
participating etc… (Obviously make notes and complete the time log
at the end so you don’t miss any important seminar activity!!)

We will not be asking you to share all the content of your Time Log
during the seminar session. We will be doing some analysis of the
Time Log, so please complete it and bring it with you.

Select a fairly typical day to record.

Thankyou
